I remember my own journey through burn out. It was a rough road and I wish I had someone else to go through the paces of it all. That is what lead me to this idea that teachers need help with their own mental, emotional and physical well being.
Venting and complaining in the hallways after school just doesn't do much other than perpetuate that negative sense of overwhelm. You need more than that.
We need positive and action based strategies, tools and solutions and I am here to provide that for you.

This looks different to everyone, but can be a combination of education, breath exercises, sleep habits, restorative yoga & meditation, play and movement.

For one hour a week for 6 weeks we connect via Zoom which can be done from the comfort of your own home. I listen, guide, coach and provide solutions to help restore personal and professional wellness. Together, we define where you want to go and ultimately how you want to feel and I help keep you on track to achieve what it is that you want most.
Stay on track with wellness or teaching practices & behaviours that will support your mental, emotional and physical health. When you have someone holding you accountable and who genuinely cares about you, and the amazing contribution that you are making to society, it can feel that much easier. I will create a resource package for you full of articles, videos, podcasts, etc. that will relate to what you are experiencing and where you want to go. This custom package is like your own personal online course complete with notes from our 4 consultation sessions.

I’ll start with an honest chat with you to understand you, your personal and professional wellness needs and some of the biggest obstacles standing between you and overall wellness. Here we’ll highlight what is contributing to burn out and highlight how to get you to your sweet spot.
As an avid researcher and ideas person, I am committed to finding out the most up-to-date information that will help you to understand what may be happening with your nervous system, ways to relieve the stress as well as mental & emotional discomfort that you are feeling, and lastly I come up with strategies to increase effectiveness and provide a host of possible solutions to personal or professional conundrums.
What I learn sets the foundation for ideas. We’ll build upon them to create a comprehensive plan that suits your wellness style and is realistic given that you're already feeling overwhelmed. This is not another item to add to your to-do list.
The plan that we come up with will be simple yet effective. You will have me guiding and coaching you along the way. Having someone cheering you on is encouraging and helps with accountability.

I’m an expert bounce back strategist, consultant and positivity addict. I am a school teacher with a BA in Psychology, two years of Psychotherapy training as well as 200hr Yoga and 200hr Meditation teacher training. I am a total nerd when it comes to changing the brain's thought patterns using neuroscience. I am also the host of the My Gratitude Attitude Podcast which aims to inspire wellness and positive psychology and resilience.
After experiencing burn out myself and learning the arduous task of bouncing back from burnout and eventually finding my own wellness sweet spot - I want to save you the time and energy that it once took me to bounce back. My obsession is helping teachers find their wellness sweet spot, so they can keep doing what they love without compromising their own well being.

The future needs well teachers who have enough energy, passion and drive to keep up with our fast paced and ever changing societies. Now more than ever children need teachers as role models for positive learning experiences. I know that you got into teaching for this very reason and I also know that the system in which you teach doesn't always lend itself to support these ideals.
